The Johnson Brothers began producing ceramics in 1882 in Stoke-on-Trent.
1882 Ltd was formed in 2011, by the fifth-generation daughter Emily Johnson and her father Christopher. This company now produces inventive ceramics whilst using all the skill and craftsmanship from their heritage. Process and method are as fundamental, as design and creativity.
Collaborating with talented artists and designers including Max Lamb, Barnaby Barford Paul Smith, Faye Toogood and Peter Pilotto, 1882 continues to make innovative ceramics to a wide audience.
Decorative and functional, these unique pieces are to be “used, loved and desired”.
